Paint Nights
A fun painting event for anyone, whether you have painting experience or not! These events are usually held in the evening, at a venue where you can purchase a glass of wine or beer to enjoy while you paint.
Art Workshops
If you’re looking for something a bit quieter, calmer and more relaxing, I’d recommend my art workshops. These take place during the day and are more focused on trying specific techniques to create a particular type of artwork. You are also more free to create your own image.

Hi, I'm Isobel
Originally from Scotland, my husband and I emigrated to Nova Scotia in 2013 and I’ve been working as a fine artist since 2018. I live in the woods on the North Mountain near Centreville in the Annapolis Valley. I’m a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and you can find my work at the Teichert Gallery and Made in the Maritimes in Halifax.

It is always fun, informative and very relaxing
I love going to paint night. Isobel is a great instructor and makes the whole process so much fun and very easy to follow. while we are all painting the same picture, you get 2o different takes on it, if you have 20 people taking the class and all look amazing.
I can highly recommend it.
Paint Night
Always enjoy Paint Night with Isobel. She is a talented artist and more than willing to pass along this wonderful gift to others whether you are a beginner or an experienced painter! A nice night out with the gals ( and occasionally a few gentleman are in attendance ). Looking forward to the up and coming paint night, a Robins Nest & Eggs. Check her out! You won’t be disappointed.
Who knew painting could be this much fun?
My daughter and I have attended 4 paint nights at the Millstone Brewery. I wasn’t sure what to expect but Isobel is a patient teacher. She encouraged us to tap into our childlike curiosity and have fun. It doesn’t matter how your day was as you immediately immerse yourself in the process. She helps you mix the colours, gives a blank canvas with an outline of the major component and away you go for 2 1/2 – 3 hours and walk away proud of your artwork .

Really enjoy paint nights with Isobel! Have been to a couple and it’s a great evening to just forget about life and enjoy the process of the painting (with no experience necessary!) Lots of supplies, instruction is easy to follow along and Isobel will always help you out if you need a little extra guidance. Great fun and highly recommend!
Great way to spend an evening!
I’ve always wanted to go to a Paint Night and finally was able to go to the cat/fireplace night with friends. The evening was so enjoyable, relaxing and fun! Isobel is a great instructor, so talented yet she made the instructions and tips easy for even us beginners! A great memory and I left with work I was proud of! I hope to do it again!
